Talk about laser focus! Our students are CRUSHING it in class! Whether it's in Ms. Pfaeffle's Entrepreneurship class, Ms. Bayton's Advanced Biologly or in Mr. Savage's Mixed Multimedia class, they are doing amazing things. Keep up the awesome energy, everyone! #FocusedAndFabulous #ClassroomChampions #StudentSuccess

Tomorrow night is the first March Madness game. We can't wait to see everyone come and cheer on James Monroe and Preschool Programs. Please see the flyer for a few reminders. 🖤🧡💙

The students from the Latino Students Association from UMW wrote letters to the newcomers at JM. The letters were written in English, Spanish and Pashto. The UMW students shared their experiences as multilingual learners and their journey in education. They will continue writing to each other and hopefully they get to meet each other in person before the end of the school year. #LatinoStudents #UMW #newcomers

As our Spring Break comes to an end this Friday, who else is missing the Friday night lights? The cheers. And the lights – oh, those Friday Night Lights!

We are going to throw it back to the first parade this year at JM. It was successful in large part because of the marching band, led by Christian. Who doesn't love the music? We are excited to see what Christian does next year at JMU!

Happy Spring Break week. Let's catch up and share student highlights this week in case you missed it.
JM student Azariah was picked as the Jobs for Virginia Grads January Student Spotlight. Here is a clip of the article below:
Our student spotlight for January is on Azairah, a senior at James Monroe High School in Fredericksburg City Schools. Azairah is involved with cheerleading, volleyball and soccer, and loves Twilight and Morgan Wallen. Azairah has been involved with JVG for a few years, and she plans to attend Old Dominion University in the fall.
When asked what she likes most about JVG at James Monroe, she said "I like how they give you opportunities to open pathways to your future. I like the school spirit that we have. I love Mr. Brousse and Dr. Doucette because they push us to be better people and do further things after high school."

No students today, so JM staff participated in an RCD training. JM and WGMS staff came together to improve their knowledge and learn ways to better serve students. #Alwaysgrowing #EducatingourEducators

This morning, students from Cosmetology I, II, and III had students from WGMS stop by for a special visit today. We are lucky to have the collaboration between the two schools.
